3.75 - A solid YA debut that doesn't shy away from aspects (some) adults would prefer to ignore. I think the best part is that while Ms. Crewe ends Give Up the Ghost
on a hopeful note, every problem isn't solved with picture perfect resolution by the novel's end. It's obvious both characters have quite a bit of healing to do, but there's a feeling that they'll be doing so together and leaning on each other when things get rough. Can't wait to see what Ms. Crewe writes next!
