I wanted to like Thunderbird Falls
because I so
enjoyed Urban Shaman
, but book #2 in the Walker Papers series felt like trying to put together a puzzle with (at least) half the pieces missing. I also must concur with other readers who expressed annoyance with the plot twist that wasn't; when an author kills the suspense as Ms. Murphy did in TF
, it pretty much renders reading the entire novel pointless.
Despite already owning Coyote Dreams
and Walking Dead
- I know, I'm quickly learning my lesson about not buying more than one book in a series until actually reading it - I'm feeling less than enthusiastic about continuing to follow Joanne's (mis)adventures (especially now that I know more about where her relationship with Morrison heads in the subsequent novels. Yeah, I peaked). Right now I'm debating as to whether or not I should start book three, or just cut my losses and trade all four volumes in at the used book store...
